Robo-Canine is on his strategy to Staunton Excessive College for know-how classes

Staunton – Robo-Canine is coming to Staunton Excessive College.

Staunton Metropolis Faculties was one among 16 departments awarded grant cash to improve gear for CTE (Profession and Technical Training) and STEM (Science, Expertise, Engineering, and Math) packages. Lisa Coons, Virginia’s director of public instruction, made the announcement on Wednesday. Every division will obtain $37,500 to buy new gear and make different enhancements to reinforce pupil studying.

The Staunton grant shall be used to buy a robotic canine that Cassie Farish, Staunton’s highschool superintendent, noticed at a conference.

“It is principally a completely programmable robotic canine that makes use of completely different programming languages,” stated Farrish. “How I think about that is canine shall be built-in into our know-how programs, possibly even some engineering programs.”
